We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team and contribute to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Collect, label, and prepare patient specimens accurately for laboratory testing.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures efficiently and within your approved scope of practice.
- Record and document test results accurately in the Laboratory Information System and relevant facility records.
- Support the Medical Laboratory Scientist in the efficient processing of patient samples.
- Assist with general laboratory duties, quality control tasks, and inventory management as assigned.
- Adhere strictly to standard operating procedures and laboratory safety protocols at all times.
- Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic maintenance according to established guidelines.
- Report equipment faults, incidents, and testing errors promptly to the supervising Medical Laboratory Scientist.
- Possess a relevant qualification in Medical Laboratory Technology or Science.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on professional laboratory experience in a clinical setting.
- Must hold a valid professional registration and current practicing license in Nigeria.
- Strong knowledge of specimen collection, handling, processing, and safety protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong record-keeping skills, and effective communication abilities.
