Key Responsibilities- Perform phlebotomy procedures on adult and pediatric patients with precision and compassion
- Operate and maintain automated hematology and chemistry analyzers, pipettes, and laboratory equipment
- Process, label, sort, and accurately record patient specimens in the Laboratory Information Management System
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance, calibration, and quality control measures following standard operating procedures
- Manage laboratory inventory and maintain updated checklists and documentation
- Identify and communicate abnormal results to supervisory personnel, physicians, and patients promptly
- Provide patient and family education utilizing established teaching protocols
- Contribute to a safe healthcare environment by adhering to established safety and infection control standards
- Support multidisciplinary team approaches to enhance laboratory services and reputation
- Minimum Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) from an accredited School of Health Technology
- Current registration and valid practicing license with AMLSCN (Association of Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria)
- 1-4 years of hands-on experience in a medical laboratory, hospital, or clinic setting
- Proficiency with laboratory analyzers and diagnostic equipment
- Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills
- Professional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Additional medical laboratory certifications are advantageous
