About the Role

Zamfara State Government invites applications from qualified and dedicated Medical Laboratory Technicians to join our healthcare workforce. This is a critical position in our healthcare delivery system, where you will play a vital role in providing accurate diagnostic laboratory services that directly impact patient care and treatment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct laboratory tests and analyses on patient samples following standard protocols
  • Prepare and examine specimens using appropriate laboratory equipment and techniques
  • Maintain accurate records of test results and patient information
  • Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety standards
  • Perform shift duties, emergency assignments, and on-call responsibilities as required
  • Collaborate with medical professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and report maintenance needs promptly

Qualifications
  • National Diploma (ND) in Medical Laboratory Technology from MLSCN-recognised institution
  • Valid MLSCN professional registration certificate
  • Current annual practising permit
  • NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate (where applicable)
  • Internship completion certificate (where applicable)
  • Age between 18 and 40 years
  • Zamfara State indigene with valid NIN
  • Medically and physically fit for employment
  • No criminal record or history of dismissal from public service
