About the Role
Zamfara State Government invites applications from qualified and dedicated Medical Laboratory Technicians to join our healthcare workforce. This is a critical position in our healthcare delivery system, where you will play a vital role in providing accurate diagnostic laboratory services that directly impact patient care and treatment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct laboratory tests and analyses on patient samples following standard protocols
- Prepare and examine specimens using appropriate laboratory equipment and techniques
- Maintain accurate records of test results and patient information
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety standards
- Perform shift duties, emergency assignments, and on-call responsibilities as required
- Collaborate with medical professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment
- Maintain laboratory equipment and report maintenance needs promptly
- National Diploma (ND) in Medical Laboratory Technology from MLSCN-recognised institution
- Valid MLSCN professional registration certificate
- Current annual practising permit
- NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate (where applicable)
- Internship completion certificate (where applicable)
- Age between 18 and 40 years
- Zamfara State indigene with valid NIN
- Medically and physically fit for employment
- No criminal record or history of dismissal from public service
- Recent passport photograph
- Birth certificate or Declaration of Age
- Local Government Indigene Certificate
- Valid NIN Slip or Card
- Academic qualification certificates
- Professional registration certificate
