About the Role
EHA Clinics is a world-class primary health care service provider located in Nigeria, dedicated to bridging the gap between patients and primary healthcare services across clinics, homes, and digital platforms. We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our state-of-the-art Laboratory and Diagnostics department in reporting to the Assistant Manager of Laboratory Services.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a critical role in clinical decision-making by delivering accurate and timely diagnostic results.
- Compile and analyze body fluids, tissue, and other substances to determine normal or abnormal findings.
- Perform molecular diagnostics such as PCR using open and closed systems, alongside hematology, chemistry, immunology, microbiology, and infectious disease testing including COVID-19.
- Identify and communicate abnormal results promptly to supervisory personnel, physicians, and nursing staff.
- Operate sophisticated laboratory equipment, running standards and controls, and performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and clean work environment while adhering strictly to quality control protocols and standard operating procedures.
We are looking for dedicated professionals who meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Laboratory Science from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience in a medical laboratory, clinic, or hospital setting.
- Additional training and hands-on experience in molecular diagnostic techniques such as PCR.
- Valid certification from the Associate of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (AMLSCN).
- Possession of a current practicing license.
- Strong computer literacy, exceptional communication skills, and a compassionate, detail-oriented bedside manner.
