About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic Laboratory and Diagnostics department. In this role, you will perform essential diagnostic assays, operate advanced laboratory equipment, and ensure the highest standards of quality and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities- Compile and analyze body fluids, tissue, and other substances to identify normal or abnormal clinical findings.
- Perform molecular diagnostics, including PCR using open and closed systems, alongside hematology, chemistry, immunology, microbiology, and infectious disease testing such as COVID-19.
- Ensure precision by running quality controls, calibrating sophisticated laboratory instruments, and performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Identify and communicate critical or abnormal results promptly to physicians, nurses, and supervisory personnel.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with established healthcare standards and protocols.
- Engage professionally and compassionately with patients and families to support a positive healthcare delivery experience.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional working experience in a medical laboratory, clinic, or hospital setting.
- Hands-on experience and additional training in molecular diagnostic techniques like PCR.
- Valid certification from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) and a current practicing license.
