About the Role
DRG Hospital Limited is a modern, rapidly growing medical facility located in Kubwa, Abuja, offering a wide range of specialized healthcare services including general medicine, surgery, maternity, advanced laboratory diagnostics, scanning, ECG, and dental care. We are currently seeking a dynamic, competent, and professional Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our expanding clinical team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in patient care by performing reliable laboratory tests, ensuring stringent quality control standards, and delivering prompt diagnostic results that guide effective clinical decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a wide variety of routine and specialized laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and parasitology.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment according to established safety and quality protocols.
- Ensure accurate collection, labeling, processing, and storage of patient biological specimens.
- Record and analyze test results meticulously, ensuring prompt reporting to attending physicians.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control, biosafety standards, and standard operating procedures.
- Manage laboratory reagent inventory and report shortages proactively to management.
- Provide exceptional patient care by maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and empathy at all times.
- Must possess a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) or a recognized equivalent qualification.
- Must hold a valid practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of clinical laboratory experience in a recognized healthcare facility.
- Must reside within Kubwa or its immediate environs for ease of commute.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating modern laboratory diagnostic equipment.
- Must be highly professional, competent, detail-oriented, and dedicated to duty.
