About the Role

Medicaid Cancer Foundation (MCF) is seeking passionate and dedicated Medical Doctors to join our team as volunteers for our impactful healthcare initiatives, including the WalkAway Cancer Awareness Walk. Founded in 2014, MCF provides a vital support system for cancer patients, families, and caregivers who struggle to navigate the physical, emotional, and financial burdens of a cancer diagnosis. As a volunteer medical professional, you will play a crucial role in spreading awareness, offering clinical guidance, and inspiring hope within Nigerian communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical advisory and support during health outreaches, community screenings, and cancer awareness campaigns.
  • Educate patients, families, and the general public on early detection, prevention, and management of various cancers.
  • Collaborate with public health advocates and healthcare teams to deliver accurate health information and counselling.
  • Participate in foundation events, workshops, and advocacy programs aimed at reducing the cancer burden in Nigeria.
  • Assist in the development of medically sound educational content for community engagement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS or MBChB) degree from a recognized institution.
  • Current practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • Demonstrated passion for public health, community service, and oncology advocacy.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and empathetic patient-handling skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse teams alongside healthcare professionals and creatives.
