Skipper Eye-Q Speciality Eye Hospital, a renowned international healthcare provider with a network of 42 facilities across India and Nigeria, is looking for a dedicated Medical Counsellor to join our dynamic team. In this vital patient-facing role, you will serve as the primary bridge between our medical specialists and patients, ensuring they feel fully supported, informed, and confident throughout their treatment journey.
Key Responsibilities- Counsel patients seamlessly throughout their registration, consultation, and post-treatment journey.
- Explain complex medical conditions, recommended surgical or clinical procedures, and associated costs clearly to patients and their families.
- Provide accurate, transparent information to help patients understand all available treatment options.
- Conduct proactive follow-ups with patients to support them in making well-informed decisions regarding their eye care.
- Build trusting, positive relationships with patients to guarantee an exceptional, empathetic patient experience.
- Utilize strong interpersonal and persuasion skills to effectively communicate value and encourage positive health outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Counselling, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in counselling, healthcare, customer service, or a patient-facing role.
- Fluency in both English and Hausa is strictly required for effective patient communication.
- Female candidates are preferred for this specific position.
