Key Responsibilities- Provide expert surgical consultations, diagnoses, and advanced treatment plans for patients.
- Perform complex surgical procedures with high standards of clinical safety and precision.
- Supervise, mentor, and train resident doctors, medical officers, and medical students.
- Participate actively in departmental clinical meetings, mortality reviews, and academic research.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient management and care delivery.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of hospital protocols and surgical department standards.
- Possess a primary medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Hold Fellowship qualifications from the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN), West African College of Surgeons (WACS), or equivalent internationally recognized bodies.
- Must be fully registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) with a valid practicing license.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in General Surgery or specialized surgical fields.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills suited for a university teaching hospital environment.
