The University of Ilesa - UNILESA Teaching Hospital, established through the upgrade of the historic Ilesa General Hospital by the Osun State government, is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Medical Consultant in Chemical Pathology. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional specialist clinical services, oversee advanced laboratory diagnostics, and contribute to the academic and research development of the institution. Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical and laboratory consultation services in Chemical Pathology for patients at UNILESA Teaching Hospital.
- Supervise, interpret, and validate complex biochemical assays and laboratory investigations.
- Train and mentor resident doctors, medical students, and allied health professionals.
- Participate actively in hospital committees, clinical audits, and quality assurance programs.
- Conduct and publish high-impact clinical and translational research to advance medical science.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Possess a primary medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMCP) or West African Postgraduate Medical College (FWACP) in Chemical Pathology, or equivalent foreign qualifications.
- Current and valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Demonstrated experience in clinical practice, laboratory management, and medical education.
