About the Role
Hope Spring Community Humanitarian Initiative, the Nigerian arm of the UK-registered Hope Spring Water charity, is seeking a dynamic and creative Media & Communication Assistant. In this role, you will play a vital part in advancing our mission to improve access to safe drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) across Nigeria through compelling digital storytelling and strategic communications.
Key Responsibilities- Create, schedule, and manage engaging content across Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, and other digital channels.
- Support photo and video capture, perform basic media editing, and contribute to impactful visual storytelling campaigns.
- Draft compelling captions, short articles, newsletters, and other communication materials aligned with our brand voice.
- Assist in content research, trend analysis, and the development of comprehensive monthly content calendars.
- Monitor social media performance metrics, compile engagement reports, and support routine administrative media tasks.
- Provide on-the-ground support for event coverage, documentation, and community outreach programs as required.
- Degree in Mass Communication, English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven passion for social media management, digital content creation, and non-profit communications.
- Familiarity with basic photo and video editing tools, graphic design software, and social media scheduling platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment dedicated to humanitarian causes.
