About the Role

Operating across multiple sectors with our headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria, we are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy General Manager, Mechanical Maintenance for our cement plant. In this vital leadership role, you will direct mechanical operations and drive asset reliability alongside a dedicated team of engineering professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage the mechanical maintenance team to ensure seamless plant operations.
- Develop and implement robust preventative maintenance programs and schedules.
- Manage operational budgets and collaborate with procurement to secure necessary materials and equipment.
- Formulate long-term strategies for upgrading and replacing aging machinery.
- Generate comprehensive maintenance reports for senior management review.
- Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, environmental standards, and internal safety policies.
- Foster cross-functional synergy between maintenance and production departments.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 24 years of extensive experience in mechanical maintenance within a cement manufacturing plant.
- Deep expertise in cement plant machinery, equipment, and manufacturing processes.Proven track record in team leadership and talent management.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong background in budget management, inventory control, and procurement.
