About the Role
Terra Energy Services Nigeria Ltd (TES) is a leading indigenous oil and gas engineering company providing integrated solutions across the energy value chain. Operating from Lagos and Port-Harcourt, we are currently seeking an experienced and technically competent Mechanical Technician to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mechanical assets on our offshore production platforms. In this vital role, you will perform comprehensive preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on essential rotating and static equipment to maximize asset uptime and operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on rotating and static mechanical equipment including pumps, compressors, and gearboxes.
- Conduct rigorous equipment inspections, precise alignment, lubrication, and mechanical fault diagnosis.
- Support planned shutdowns, overhauls, commissioning, and equipment reinstatement activities.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history logs, and spare-parts usage documentation via CMMS.
- Execute all maintenance activities strictly in compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW), LOTO, and offshore HSE standards.
- HND, Bachelor Degree, or Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 8 to 12 years of relevant hands-on mechanical maintenance experience within the upstream oil and gas industry.
- Valid BOSIET/HUET and offshore medical certifications.
- Demonstrated expertise in rotating equipment maintenance, fault diagnosis, and CMMS utilization.
