About the Role
CBRE Excellerate, the market leader in commercial real estate services and investments, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Technician - Air Conditioning to join our dynamic team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will ensure that the mechanical and electrical systems of our facilities operate at maximum efficiency, driving a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Manage total preventative maintenance and resolve breakdowns of mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment.
- Coordinate day-to-day workloads for the technical team to ensure efficient service delivery and achievement of departmental KPIs.
- Plan and resource Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and maintenance shutdowns.
- Provide inspirational leadership, line management, and coaching to skilled technicians, fostering a strong safety culture.
- Act independently in emergency situations and make critical decisions impacting facility operations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various stakeholders and manage technical contractors effectively.
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Facilities Management and mechanical/electrical maintenance.
- Mandatory NEMSA (Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency) certification.
- Strong working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, SHEQ, and statutory requirements.
- Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously.
