About the Role
CBRE Excellerate, the market leader in commercial real estate services and investments, is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Technician - Air Conditioning to join our dynamic team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this crucial role, you will ensure that the mechanical and electrical systems of our facilities operate at maximum efficiency while driving a strong culture of safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across Africa and the Middle East.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure mechanical and electrical systems, facility layouts, and machinery run at peak efficiency and output through total preventative maintenance and breakdown management.
- Assist in managing the daily workload for the technical team to ensure effective, efficient service delivery and achievement of departmental targets.
- Plan and resource Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules and maintenance shutdowns.
- Provide leadership, line management, and mentorship to skilled technicians, overseeing workloads and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Manage on-site contractors to ensure compliance with legal frameworks and company standards while fostering safe working practices.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Facilities Management.
- NEMSA (Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency) certification.
- City & Guilds Level 3 qualification, Degree, or Technician Diploma in a mechanical, electrical, or related discipline.
- Proven background in leading and developing multi-skilled technical teams.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, SHEQ, and statutory requirements.
