About the Role
Fact Base Consulting is recruiting a dedicated Mechanical Technician on behalf of our esteemed client in the manufacturing and industrial sector in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining operational excellence by ensuring that all mechanical systems and equipment run smoothly, safely, and efficiently to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, monitor, and perform routine maintenance on mechanical equipment to guarantee continuous and efficient production processes.
- Support the installation, rigorous testing, and seamless commissioning of new mechanical systems and heavy machinery.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical faults, hydraulic systems, valves, and industrial pumps promptly.
- Conduct preventive maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of critical factory equipment and reduce unexpected breakdowns.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and guidelines while executing daily plant operations.
- Minimum of a B.Tech or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Candidates holding an NTC or ANTC (Advanced National Technical Certificate) will possess a distinct advantage.
- At least 2 to 4 years of proven hands-on experience in industrial mechanical and electrical maintenance within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong, demonstrable technical knowledge of industrial hydraulics, control valves, and various pump systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
