About the Role
Seven Up Bottling Company, a leading and dynamic FMCG company in Nigeria renowned for iconic brands like 7UP, Pepsi, and Teem, is looking for a driven and experienced Mechanical Project Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end project execution, ensuring all mechanical, piping, and electrical requirements are met safely, efficiently, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance across all project phases.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure projects meet established deadlines and milestones.
- Review and understand technical requirements, including P&IDs, BOQs for Mechanical, Piping, and Electrical works.
- Prepare comprehensive Gantt charts in collaboration with selected vendors and monitor project risks proactively.
- Manage project budgets to prevent cost overruns and escalate risks to the Project Head immediately.
- Facilitate timely procurement, vendor payments, and site logistics in coordination with plant HR and procurement teams.
- Provide daily updates and detailed weekly reports to the Project Head concerning plant stoppages and project progress.
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) or HND in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant hands-on experience in technical project engineering, with at least 4 years in a beverage bottling company.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project scheduling tools such as MS Projects.
- Must possess a valid PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials.
