About the Role
Sinoma Nigeria Company Limited, a premier affiliate of Sinoma International Engineering Co., Ltd specializing in EPC turnkey projects, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for our cement plant operations in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will ensure the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of all heavy machinery across our production lines.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct daily inspections, fault diagnoses, and repairs of critical cement plant mechanical equipment, including rotary kilns, ball mills, conveyors, crushers, and industrial fans.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance, complete overhauls, and parts replacements strictly adhering to industry engineering standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, compile equipment failure reports, and recommend actionable reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with the maintenance manager to minimize plant downtime and lower overall equipment failure rates.
- Supervise and mentor junior maintenance technicians to ensure compliance with site safety protocols and high-quality workmanship.
- Partner with our international technical team to successfully execute equipment upgrades, debugging, and complex technical modifications.
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Equipment Maintenance, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience specifically within a cement manufacturing plant.
- Proven expertise in independently diagnosing, disassembling, repairing, and commissioning heavy industrial machinery.
- Solid proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and understanding plant safety standard operating procedures.
