About the Role

We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Mechanical Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing operations in Nigeria. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining plant efficiency, minimizing equipment downtime, and upholding our high standards of workplace safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Attend to routine mechanical problems and execute swift, effective repairs to maintain continuous production.
- Maintain ready-to-use spare assemblies and manage inventory efficiently to avoid operational delays.
- Coordinate closely with the section in-charge, providing regular feedback on daily activities and machine performance.
- Participate actively in daily operational meetings and technical briefings.
- Focus on proactive downtime reduction strategies and conduct thorough why-why analysis during any machine breakdowns.
- Promote and adhere to quality, environment, health, and safety (QEHS) standards across all daily tasks.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Ensure strict compliance with relevant industry regulations, conducting routine audits and assessments to evaluate IMS effectiveness.
- Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial plant environment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and root-cause analysis.
- Commitment to occupational health, safety, and quality management systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse engineering team.
