About the Role

We are currently looking for a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Fabricator / Welder to join our dynamic team at the Apapa Terminal in Lagos. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining our industrial infrastructure, ensuring that our heavy-duty equipment and structures meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Perform precision fabrication, welding, cutting, and fitting activities in strict accordance with approved technical specifications and safety standards.
- Inspect raw materials, completed welds, and fabricated structures to guarantee compliance with rigorous quality control requirements.
- Operate, maintain, and properly care for specialized welding machines, cutting tools, and workshop equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor mechanical repairs on all assigned fabrication and welding tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment, ensuring proper cleanup after every task.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to execute both preventive and corrective maintenance schedules as directed by the Line Manager.
- Adhere strictly to all corporate policies, standard operating procedures, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations.
- Promptly report any equipment defects, potential safety hazards, or operational concerns to management.
- Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or a recognized Trade Test Certificate in Welding, Fabrication, or a closely related mechanical discipline.
- Demonstrated knowledge of advanced fabrication and welding techniques with the ability to interpret basic technical drawings.
- Strong physical fitness and medical readiness to handle demanding field-based industrial tasks and 12-hour shift schedules across plant locations.
