About the Role
High Caliber Nigeria Limited, a leading human resources and management consultancy, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Spinach Packaging Machine Operator on behalf of our client, a reputable food manufacturing company specialising in cheese balls and chin-chin production. In this role, you will play a vital part in our production line by operating and monitoring packaging equipment, ensuring top-notch product quality, and maintaining efficient daily operations in alignment with established Nigerian and international food safety and hygiene regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Operate, set up, and monitor the spinach packaging machine to ensure efficient, seamless, and consistent packaging operations.
- Adjust machine settings precisely to achieve accurate filling, proper sealing, correct product weight, and superior packaging quality.
- Inspect all finished products meticulously to guarantee packaging integrity, accurate labeling, and strict compliance with company quality standards.
- Conduct routine machine checks, perform basic troubleshooting, execute preventive maintenance, and report major mechanical faults promptly.
- Maintain strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), corporate food safety protocols, and general workplace safety regulations.
- Clean and sanitise the packaging machinery and surrounding work environment thoroughly before, during, and after production shifts.
- Monitor production output closely, actively minimise packaging material wastage, and maintain accurate logs of production and machine downtime.
- Collaborate effectively with the Production, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance teams to achieve ambitious daily manufacturing targets.
- Perform additional production-related duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
- Minimum of Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE); an OND or relevant technical certification is strongly preferred.
- At least 2 years of proven, hands-on experience operating industrial packaging machines within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or food manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated practical experience working with automated spinach packaging machinery or similar high-speed packaging equipment.
- Foundational technical knowledge regarding machine calibration, quality control checks, routine servicing, and basic fault troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of industrial food hygiene, GMP guidelines, and factory safety procedures.
