About the Role
Sun King is the world's leading off-grid solar energy company, providing reliable power to over 82 million customers across Africa and Asia. We are currently looking for a dedicated Regional Solar Installation & Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in Bayelsa, Nigeria. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional technical service, ensuring system performance, and maintaining high-quality standards across our solar installations to light up the lives of off-grid households.
Key Responsibilities- Execute high-quality installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of Sun King solar inverter systems within the assigned region.
- Utilise remote monitoring platforms to track system performance, diagnose issues proactively, and prevent potential failures.
- Conduct routine remote and on-site installation audits for internal and third-party teams to ensure strict adherence to technical and safety standards.
- Onboard, train, and manage third-party installers to expand service coverage and provide ongoing technical guidance.
- Accurately document service activities, manage spare parts inventory, and submit detailed periodic reports to the After-Sales Manager.
- Promote and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies across all regional operations.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
- 4+ years of professional experience in after-sales service and technical assistance within the solar inverter, electronic consumer goods, or mobile device industry.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical wiring standards, power electronics, and diagnostic tools.
- Proficiency in remote monitoring platforms and technical software applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong dedication to customer satisfaction.
