About the Role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Mechanical Engineer - HEMM to join our mining operations team and contribute to our ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure mechanical maintenance is carried out properly and safely in accordance with mine requirements.
- Perform routine and corrective maintenance on Heavy Earth Moving Equipment (HEMM).
- Train subordinate staff to ensure mechanical tasks are executed timely and correctly.
- Maintain proper housekeeping standards across all job areas and plant facilities.
- Plan and forecast spare parts requirements efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001) and maintain accurate documentation.
- Monitor mechanical systems during operation to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Provide technical support, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven professional experience maintaining Heavy Earth Moving Equipment in a mining environment.
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and machine mechanics.
- Familiarity with CAD software and modern mechanical design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and mathematical skills.
