About the Role
African Natural Resources & Mines Limited is seeking a motivated and technically inclined Mechanical Engineer Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) to join our Engineering and Maintenance team. The successful candidate will undergo structured on-the-job training and gain practical experience in mechanical maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and industrial engineering operations within our growing Nigerian manufacturing and mining environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist senior mechanical engineers with the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial mechanical equipment and systems.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities on rotating machinery, pumps, compressors, and conveyors.
- Conduct routine inspections of mechanical components to identify unusual noise, vibration, leakage, or other abnormalities.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, layouts, and technical specifications.
- Work closely with Production, Electrical, Instrumentation, and HSE departments to resolve equipment-related issues promptly.
- Observe and comply with company HSE policies, permit-to-work systems, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and other safety requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
- Valid NYSC completion, discharge certificate, or exemption letter.
- Strong foundational knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage.
