About the Role

We are currently seeking a meticulous and driven Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this vital role, you will oversee all mechanical engineering aspects of our construction projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency while contributing to our mission of setting new benchmarks in the real estate sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise all mechanical works on site including HVAC split-unit systems, domestic water supply, sanitary drainage, water and sewage treatment plants, and fire suppression systems.
  • Review mechanical shop drawings and material submittals, providing recommendations for approval or rejection to the Programme and MEP Manager.
  • Inspect all mechanical first-fix installations prior to partition closure, verifying pipe sizing, support spacing, and proper drainage falls.
  • Witness all pipework pressure tests and issue corresponding pressure test certificates.
  • Manage and supervise mechanical subcontractor gangs, verifying daily labor and plant returns.
  • Ensure all mechanical penetrations through slabs and walls are correctly sleeved, fire-stopped, and sealed.
  • Lead mechanical commissioning and testing activities in coordination with the MEP Commissioning Engineer.
  • Produce comprehensive mechanical inspection and test records for inclusion in the Operations and Maintenance Manual.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with COREN registration strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of demonstrable mechanical site engineering experience working on multi-storey residential or commercial buildings.
  • Proven hands-on experience commissioning water treatment plants and sewage treatment systems.
  • Extensive practical knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, balancing, and testing.
  • Active membership in the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
  • Exceptional attention to detail in quality inspections, documentation, and subcontractor management.
