About the Role
Animal Care Services Konsult (NIG) Ltd, a leading indigenous name in Nigeria's livestock and agricultural sector since 1979, is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Associate - Electrical/Rewinding to join our growing technical team. In this role, you will play a vital part in minimising downtime and keeping our commercial poultry, feed milling, and manufacturing operations running smoothly across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on electric motors and related industrial equipment.
- Dismantle defective electric motors, remove damaged windings, install replacement coils, and perform comprehensive insulation and electrical testing.
- Identify electrical faults using appropriate testing instruments and promptly repair faulty components.
- Minimise equipment breakdowns and ensure all production machinery operates at maximum efficiency.
- Strictly follow electrical safety procedures, utilise appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and safely isolate equipment prior to maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, equipment faults, and materials used.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and other maintenance personnel to resolve complex equipment problems.
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or Trade Test Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven hands-on experience in electric motor rewinding and industrial electrical maintenance.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety standards, troubleshooting techniques, and testing instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and repair specifications.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
