About the Role

We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Craftsman to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will ensure that mechanical maintenance and repairs are carried out on plant equipment in accordance with strict maintenance schedules, facilitating smooth, safe, and reliable operations across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out routine mechanical maintenance on plant equipment and conveyor belts as scheduled, strictly adhering to safety precautions and job plans.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and belts promptly in the event of unexpected breakdowns.
- Respond to emergency mechanical repair requests at any time of the day as required by operations.
- Document and report breakdown causes, corrective actions taken, and spare parts utilized to superiors.
- Ensure the proper and correct handling, use, and maintenance of all workshop tools and equipment.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping by ensuring the workplace is left clean and safe after every task.
- Adhere strictly to the established on-call and shift system in accordance with plant regulations.
- Comply with EMS Mechanical Instrumentation activities and support the implementation of the Integrated Management System.
- Possession of Trade Test I, II, or III, or a City & Guilds qualification in a relevant mechanical discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on industrial experience specializing in belt repair and vulcanization.
- Thorough knowledge of industrial work and safety rules, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of relevant mechanical equipment, hand tools, and specialized maintenance gear.
