About the Role
Scruples Resources is currently recruiting a dynamic and results-driven Mechanical Construction Supervisor to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in overseeing mechanical construction activities, ensuring that all projects adhere to the highest standards of safety, quality, and engineering excellence within the oil and gas, petrochemical, and power sectors.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Mechanical Construction Supervisor, you will lead day-to-day site operations and ensure seamless execution across all mechanical installations. Your core duties include:
- Supervise and coordinate mechanical construction activities, including equipment installation, piping systems, and associated facilities.
- Oversee the installation, alignment, leveling, and grouting of static and rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, and turbines.
- Review mechanical drawings, specifications, method statements, and construction procedures prior to work execution.
- Ensure compliance with approved engineering designs, tolerances, manufacturer guidelines, and relevant industry codes like ASME and API.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, QA/QC, and HSE teams to resolve site constraints, manage subcontractors, and maintain strict safety standards.

- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant mechanical construction experience within the oil and gas, petrochemical, or power industries.
- Demonstrated expertise in supervising piping fabrication, equipment installation, pressure testing, and commissioning activities.
- Thorough knowledge of international codes, standards, and safety regulations including PTW, JSA, and risk assessments.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.
