About the Role
PwC Nigeria is partnering with a leading non-profit organisation dedicated to improving health outcomes in Nigeria through advocacy, strategic partnerships, and health system strengthening. We are seeking a visionary Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer to lead the institution into its next phase of impactful growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and overall executive stewardship to achieve the organisation's mission and long-term goals.
- Drive organisational growth and financial sustainability through proactive fundraising, resource mobilisation, and strategic partnerships.
- Lead high-level stakeholder engagement with the Board of Directors, government agencies, international donors, development partners, and corporate leaders.
- Oversee comprehensive financial management, robust governance frameworks, and enterprise risk management practices.
- Champion high-impact public health programmes that deliver measurable, scalable, and sustainable outcomes for underserved populations in Nigeria.
- Build, inspire, and lead a high-performing management team, fostering a workplace culture characterised by excellence, accountability, and continuous innovation.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Public Health, Public Policy, Economics, Social Sciences, or a relevant academic discipline.
- Relevant executive education or recognised professional certifications will be considered a strong added advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience spanning financial, operational, programme, or institutional management, with at least 5 years operating in a senior executive role.
- Demonstrated professional background within the non-profit, international development, healthcare, philanthropic, or public sectors.
- Exceptional creative thinking skills with a proven ability to identify emerging opportunities, resolve complex systemic problems, and drive institutional innovation.
- Proven track record of successful fundraising, donor engagement, business development, and forging high-value strategic partnerships.
- Extensive professional networks coupled with superior leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
