About the Role
TAAS College, a prestigious co-educational institution established in the Islamic tradition in Ibadan, is looking for a passionate and qualified Mathematics Teacher to join our dynamic academic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping young minds, fostering a deep appreciation for mathematics, and preparing students for outstanding success in external examinations within a serene and modern learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Teach Mathematics effectively at the secondary school level following the approved academic standards.
- Prepare and deliver engaging, interactive lessons that promote students' conceptual understanding and academic achievement.
- Conduct continuous assessments, examinations, and ensure timely, accurate grading of students' work.
- Monitor individual academic progress and provide targeted remedial or advanced support where necessary.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, school-wide events, and extracurricular academic activities.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate academic records, lesson notes, and student progress reports.
- Bachelor's Degree (B.Ed., B.Sc., or B.Tech. with PGDE) in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field.
- 4 to 7 years of proven teaching experience in a reputable secondary school environment.
- Strong, practical knowledge of the Nigerian secondary school curriculum, including WAEC, NECO, and JAMB requirements.
- Excellent classroom management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in utilizing educational technology and digital teaching tools is an added advantage.
- Possession of a valid TRCN certification is highly desirable.
- Must reside in Ibadan or within close proximity to the school location along Abeokuta Road.
