The Oasis Schools, a prestigious and well-established institution in Ekpoma, Edo State, is currently seeking a passionate and qualified Mathematics Teacher to join our esteemed academic team. As a Mathematics Teacher at The Oasis Schools, you will play a pivotal role in demystifying mathematics, fostering a positive attitude toward the subject, and guiding our junior and senior secondary students toward academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive mathematics lessons aligned with the approved Nigerian and international secondary school curricula.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to students, parents, and school administration.
- Create a stimulating, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a conducive learning atmosphere for all students.
- Prepare students for internal examinations as well as external assessments such as WAEC, NECO, and BECE.
- Participate in school co-curricular activities, staff meetings, professional development workshops, and parent-teacher conferences.
- Possession of a Bachelor degree in Mathematics, Education (Mathematics), or a related discipline from a recognized tertiary institution.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of proven teaching experience in a reputable secondary school setting.
- Strong command of the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Deep understanding of modern pedagogical techniques and classroom management strategies.
- Must be patient, empathetic, and genuinely passionate about youth development and academic mentorship.
- Professional teaching certification (such as TRCN) will be an added advantage.
