About the Role
S-TEE Schools, established in September 1978 by Madam S. T. Lawal with a vision to develop human capital, is currently seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher. We are looking for an inspiring educator who can cultivate a genuine interest in mathematics among our students while maintaining high academic standards in a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop in each student an interest in and the ability to understand and utilize mathematical knowledge effectively.
- Deliver engaging, coherent, and motivating lessons to students across varying grade levels.
- Utilize modern learning technology and ed-tech tools in the planning and delivery of daily lessons.
- Oversee the provision of relevant, up-to-date academic advice and support for pupils related to mathematics.
- Coordinate the selection and development of appropriate syllabi, courses, and learning resources.
- Maintain full, accurate records of student achievements and progress in the subject.
- Keep up to date with national curriculum changes, reforms, and educational best practices.
- Design comprehensive lesson plans in strict alignment with curriculum objectives.
- Plan, provide, and maintain necessary physical resources including books, past papers, and equipment, liaising with other departments as needed.
- Undertake additional roles within the department and contribute positively to the wider school environment as assigned by the Principal.
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGD).
- At least 3 years of verifiable classroom teaching experience, specifically teaching mathematics.
- Strong practical knowledge and modern pedagogical skills in delivering impactful lessons.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills.
- High enthusiasm, passion for teaching, and a demonstrated genuine care for the holistic development of young learners.
