About the Role
GLS Academy, a premier e-learning organisation based in Lekki, Lagos, is looking for a dedicated and tech-savvy Mathematics Teacher to join our growing team of academic professionals. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping students' analytical skills by delivering high-quality virtual instruction, simplifying complex mathematical concepts, and fostering a supportive digital learning environment for primary and secondary school learners.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging, interactive online Mathematics lessons to primary and secondary school students using digital learning platforms.
- Break down complex mathematical theories and equations into easily understandable concepts for diverse learners.
- Assess students through regular quizzes, assignments, and exams to track academic progress and understanding.
- Adapt teaching methodologies and lesson plans to cater to the unique learning pace and style of each student.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain open communication with parents regarding academic development.
- Participate in virtual departmental meetings, training sessions, and curriculum reviews as required by the academy.
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Education, or a related numerate discipline.
- Proven experience teaching Mathematics, preferably within a structured school environment or online tutoring platform.
- Exceptional proficiency in using video conferencing software, interactive whiteboards, and e-learning management systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage students virtually.
- Must reside in or around Lekki, Lagos, with access to a reliable computer and stable internet connection.
