About the Role
Discovering Talents Academy (DTA) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Mathematics / Class Teacher to join our esteemed primary school team in Nigeria. In this role, you will deliver inspiring mathematics instruction that builds strong problem-solving skills and promotes a positive attitude toward numeracy. You will uphold our mission to create a fun, engaging learning environment and our vision to discover the uniqueness in every child through our innovative blended British-Nigerian curriculum.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons aligned with the blended British-Nigerian curriculum.
- Implement DTA's SHRID niche, focusing on skill acquisition, individualized teaching, and clear mathematical diction.
- Design, administer, and evaluate formative and summative assessments to track pupil progress and address learning gaps.
- Create an inclusive, stimulating, and well-managed classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and active participation.
- Serve as a Class Teacher, overseeing the overall social-emotional and academic welfare of designated pupils.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents, and utilize school software for academic tracking and reporting.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics Education, Pure/Applied Mathematics, or a related field (PGDE or NCE is an added advantage).
- 2 to 4 years of proven experience teaching Mathematics at the primary school level.
- Strong grasp of primary mathematics concepts and modern pedagogical approaches.
