About the Role
KPMG, a global leader in professional services, is looking for a dedicated Materials Management & Expediting Officer to support material availability and supply chain execution. In this role, you will play a crucial part in monitoring material readiness, tracking delivery schedules, and resolving supply constraints for our esteemed clients, particularly within the energy and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinating material management and expediting activities to ensure the timely availability of essential materials and equipment.
- Monitoring material readiness status against dynamic operational and project requirements.
- Tracking purchase orders, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules to proactively identify potential delays.
- Liaising closely with suppliers, procurement teams, logistics providers, and operational stakeholders to expedite critical shipments.
- Identifying and escalating supply constraints, material shortages, and delivery risks that may impact operational schedules.
- Maintaining accurate material tracking records and status reports utilizing advanced ERP and SCM systems.
- Generating comprehensive material status, expediting, and supply risk reports for management and key stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of Second-Class Lower (2.2) GPA.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in materials management, expediting, logistics, inventory management, or supply chain operations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern ERP or SCM software systems.
- Demonstrated experience in tracking material movements, delivery schedules, and evaluating supplier performance.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Prior experience working within oil and gas, energy, or large industrial environments is highly preferred.
- Relevant professional supply chain certifications will be considered an added advantage.
