About the Role
Dame Irene Okwuosa Memorial Hospital (DIOMH) is a world-class multispecialty hospital with a special interest in cardiothoracic and cardiovascular care, located in Oraifite LGA, Anambra State, Nigeria. Established in 2021 to bridge gaps in the Nigerian healthcare system, we deliver equitable, high-quality, and subsidized medical treatments. We are currently seeking a dedicated Material Officer to oversee our medical stores, inventory control, and supply chain integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and inspect pharmaceuticals, medical consumables, laboratory reagents, and equipment against approved purchase orders and regulatory standards.
- Maintain strict cold-chain integrity for temperature-sensitive stock and monitor environmental conditions regularly.
- Implement First-Expiry-First-Out (FEFO) inventory principles and manage lot-control traceability to minimize waste.
- Process material issuances promptly and maintain accurate stock records within the hospital management system.
- Conduct regular cycle counts, spot checks, and periodic stock reconciliations to investigate and report variances.
- Ensure compliance with NAFDAC regulations, safety protocols, and hospital Standard Operating Procedures.
- Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly reports on stock movements, near-expiry items, and consumption data.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related medical science field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of proven experience in inventory management, preferably within a hospital or pharmaceutical environment.
- Strong understanding of medical supplies, cold-chain storage requirements, and NAFDAC regulations.
- Proficiency in inventory management software, ERP systems, or hospital information management systems.
