About the Role
Pacific International Drilling S.A. is a fast-growing offshore drilling company operating some of the newest and most technologically advanced ultra-deepwater drillships in the industry. We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Mate to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining our high standards of offshore operations, ensuring seamless deck and marine activities while upholding our unwavering commitment to safety, integrity, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise Roustabout crews and coordinate daily deck operations safely and efficiently.
- Operate offshore cranes adhering strictly to safety instructions, regulations, and operational limits.
- Inspect all cranes, lifting gear, rigging equipment, and associated materials routinely.
- Oversee maintenance and adherence to company paint specifications and procedures.
- Assist with helicopter landing operations and fast rescue boat deployment as required.
- Proven experience supervising Roustabout crews in offshore drilling operations.
- Valid Crane Operator Certificate and Able Seaman Certificate.
- Fast Rescue Boat Certificate and HLO (Helicopter Landing Officer) Certificate.
- Basic and Advanced Fire Fighting Certificates.
- Comprehensive knowledge of crane and rigging safety standards.
- Ability to complete all required position training within the designated timeframe.
