About the Role
Pan-Afrique Maritime Limited is a wholly indigenous Nigerian company duly registered with NIMASA, specializing in premier maritime services, ship management, and seafarer protection. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Master - Senior Dynamic Positioning Officer (SDPO) to lead our offshore vessel operations with the highest standards of safety, compliance, and maritime excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Take full command and operational control of the offshore vessel in compliance with international maritime laws, flag state regulations, and company policies.
- Manage and oversee all Dynamic Positioning (DP) operations, ensuring safe station-keeping during offshore support activities.
- Coordinate closely with client representatives, offshore installation managers, and onboard crew to execute project requirements efficiently.
- Maintain comprehensive logs, navigation records, and statutory documentation pertaining to vessel operations and safety management systems.
- Ensure all navigational equipment, DP systems, and safety gear undergo rigorous routine checks and preventative maintenance.
- Lead onboard emergency response drills and foster a proactive safety culture among all crew members.
- Hold a valid STCW II/2 Unlimited Master's Certificate of Competency.
- Valid Dynamic Positioning (DP) Unlimited Operator Certificate.
- Minimum of 24 months of verified rank experience as an SDPO on the same vessel type.
- Proven hands-on experience with Azimuth Propulsion systems.
- Valid mandatory STCW certificates, medical fitness certificate, and NIMASA discharge book.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills in high-pressure offshore environments.
