About the Role

Ipas Nigeria Health Foundation invites eligible Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to participate in an organizational mapping exercise. Founded in 1973, Ipas is a global organization dedicated to ending preventable deaths and disabilities from unsafe abortion, ensuring women have access to safe, comprehensive reproductive health care. This initiative aims to build a robust roster of local partners for future collaborative programming, capacity strengthening, and potential sub-grants in designated Nigerian states.

Key Responsibilities

Selected organizations will collaborate with Ipas Nigeria to implement community-level initiatives focusing on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Key areas of engagement include:

  • Delivering accurate SRHR information and education within target communities.
  • Driving contraception and family planning awareness, demand generation, and referral services.
  • Providing safe abortion-related care and post-abortion care information and referral within Nigerian legal frameworks.
  • Preventing and responding to sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), including survivor support and referrals.
  • Executing adolescent and youth-friendly community engagement and digital health campaigns.
  • Engaging in policy advocacy, social accountability, and community mobilization.
Qualifications

To be considered for this partnership mapping roster, applicant organizations must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a Nigerian non-governmental, not-for-profit CBO registered with the CAC or relevant state/LGA authority.
  • Must possess an active office or operational presence in at least one target state: Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Benue, Kebbi, Nasarawa, Plateau, Oyo, or Ogun.
  • Must demonstrate at least 4 years of community-level SRHR programmatic experience.
  • Must have a functioning governing board, a named leadership team, and a dedicated organizational bank account.
  • Organizations led by women, youth, persons with disabilities, or marginalized groups are strongly encouraged to apply.
Benefits

Inclusion in the Ipas Nigeria partner roster provides organizations with opportunities for institutional capacity strengthening, technical collaboration, networking, and potential future sub-grants to expand local SRHR impact.
