About the Role
Viju Industries Nigeria Limited, a renowned leader in the beverage production industry, is looking for a dedicated and skilled Injection Molding Manager to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire injection molding process, ensuring high-efficiency output, and maintaining the structural integrity of PE, PET, and PP plastic bottles used for our popular beverage products. If you possess a strong technical background in plastics manufacturing and a proven track record of machinery maintenance, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and supervise daily operations of the injection molding department, focusing on PE, PET, and PP plastic bottle production.
- Provide hands-on technical support and routine maintenance for large injection molding machines to minimize downtime.
- Monitor production output and quality control metrics to ensure products meet company and industry standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues associated with heavy-duty manufacturing equipment.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules and safety protocols across the production floor.
- Train, mentor, and supervise machine operators and junior technical staff to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the supply chain and quality assurance teams to manage raw material usage and waste reduction.
- Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working with large injection molding machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Extensive knowledge of thermoplastic materials including PE, PET, and PP.
- Proven ability to perform mechanical troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial setting.
