About the Role
Julius Berger Nigeria Plc is a leading construction company offering integrated solutions and related services, executing complex works with technical expertise and Nigeria-specific knowhow. We are currently looking for a talented Manager - Equipment Repair Centre to join our Plant & Equipment Department (PED) at one of our major locations. In this role, you will oversee multiple workshops, lead a dedicated team, and ensure our heavy machinery remains in top technical condition to support our large-scale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a motivated team of 50 to 300 employees, including Workshop Supervisors and technical staff across multiple workshops.
- Oversee comprehensive maintenance, repair, and inspection activities for a broad range of plant, construction, and support equipment.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows to continuously enhance workshop performance and operational productivity.
- Coordinate seamlessly with customers, field service units, and internal teams to deliver quick and accurate technical solutions.
- Enforce the highest safety standards and maintain rigorous quality control across all machinery and workshop operations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering (or a related field); a Master's Degree is a distinct advantage.
- 5 to 10 years of professional experience in heavy equipment, plant, or vehicle maintenance, covering both preventive and corrective work.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a leadership or management role within a complex fleet or construction environment.
- Strong technical knowledge encompassing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Excellent communication skills, a safety-first mindset, and proficiency in English (B2/C1 level).
