About the Role
Action Against Hunger is seeking a dedicated MAMI Officer to oversee the direct technical oversight, clinical quality assurance, and field-level implementation of the Management of Small and Nutritionally At-Risk Infants Under 6 Months of Age and Their Mothers (MAMI) approach. Key Responsibilities- Establish, implement, and supervise MAMI activities within health facilities and communities using the MAMI Care Pathway package.
- Provide capacity building, clinical mentorship, and technical training for health workers and community nutrition volunteers.
- Manage day-to-day workflow, patient flow, community mobilization, and referral pathways for at-risk infants and mothers.
- Oversee supply chain logistics, ensuring uninterrupted availability of essential MAMI medical equipment, tools, and commodities.
- Maintain accurate MEAL records, compile monthly progress reports, and document clinical case studies and lessons learned.
- Ensure multi-sectoral integration between MAMI, Reproductive Health, IMCI, MHPSS, FSL, and WASH initiatives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Midwifery, Public Health, Nutrition and Dietetics, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in public health, IMAM programming, MAMI, or IYCF-E interventions.
- Proven experience in conducting clinical mentorship and adult-learning training for health facility workers.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Hausa.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
