About the Role
Protea Hotel Owerri Select, managed by Marriott International, is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance professional to join our dynamic engineering team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining our world-class hospitality standards by ensuring all hotel facilities, guest rooms, and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Respond promptly and courteously to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and kitchen equipment.
- Troubleshoot, test, and execute basic repairs on guestroom amenities, lighting, appliances, and electronic devices.
- Maintain accurate maintenance inventory, requisition necessary supplies, and communicate shift updates effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and security policies, including the proper use of Lockout/Tagout procedures and personal protective equipment.
- High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Previous experience in general building maintenance, painting, or carpentry.
- Hotel engineering or property maintenance experience is a distinct advantage.
