About the Role
KAAF Specialist Hospital, a premier private healthcare provider located within the University of Lagos, is dedicated to delivering exceptional obstetric, gynaecological, paediatric, and general medical services. We are currently looking for a proactive, skilled, and detail-oriented Maintenance Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in overseeing the routine maintenance, tracking, and repairs of critical hospital facility assets and specialized medical equipment, ensuring our healthcare environment remains safe, functional, and fully operational at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out regular inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair of hospital equipment and physical infrastructure.
- Track, log, and reconcile hospital assets, accessories, and maintenance records efficiently.
- Respond promptly to technical breakdowns and coordinate rapid repairs to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all facility equipment and maintenance protocols comply with relevant healthcare regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to address facility needs and equipment issues swiftly.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and liaise with external vendors or technical service providers when required.
- Maintain clear documentation of servicing histories, faulty items, and equipment replacements.
- Perform routine safety and functionality checks across hospital departments.
- Monitor facility utility systems to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
- Handle ad-hoc facility maintenance projects as assigned.
- Possess a Bachelor Degree or HND in Engineering, Technical Facility Management, or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of proven professional experience in facility management or biomedical equipment maintenance.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and safety compliance.
- Ability to work well under pressure and respond swiftly to technical emergencies in a healthcare setting.
