About the Role
Brent Store Limited, the retail chain arm of the prestigious Brent Group, is a premier one-stop shop for daily needs, offering a wide array of local and international consumer goods in a secure and serene environment. We are currently looking for a proactive and skilled Maintenance Officer to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a vital part in upholding our high operational standards by ensuring all facility infrastructure, equipment, and utilities remain in optimal working condition to support our bustling retail operations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine inspections of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration systems across the supermarket premises.
- Perform prompt preventive and corrective maintenance on store fixtures, equipment, and physical structures.
- Respond swiftly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs reported by various store departments.
- Supervise third-party contractors and service providers during major repairs or facility upgrades.
- Maintain accurate inventory logs of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
- Ensure all facility operations comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Minimum of OND, Trade Test, or relevant certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven working experience in facility maintenance, preferably within the retail, hospitality, or commercial sector.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and practical knowledge of general building repairs, electrical systems, and plumbing.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required by retail operations.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
