About the Role

We are currently seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Officer to join our dynamic team in Akure. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our facilities by maintaining infrastructure, performing routine inspections, and promptly resolving maintenance issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and systems to identify and resolve potential maintenance issues.
  • Perform prompt and efficient repairs on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building structures.
  • Supervise third-party contractors and service providers to ensure work meets quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of maintenance tools, spare parts, and supplies.
  • Implement preventive maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of company assets and minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with all local health, safety, and environmental regulations across all operational sites.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and coordinate immediate corrective actions.

Qualifications
  • Must be currently resident in Akure or its immediate environs.
  • Minimum of Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Estate Management, or a related field.
  • Proven hands-on experience in facility management, maintenance, or a similar technical role.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and practical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general building repairs.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and respond to urgent maintenance calls when necessary.
