About the Role
Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, a prominent leader in the Nigerian manufacturing sector and the proud maker of the iconic Golden Penny brand, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Manager for Golden Penny Power Limited. In this critical role, you will play a vital part in sustaining our operational excellence, ensuring our world-class milling and power generation infrastructure operates at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and organize preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal machine performance and reliability.
- Execute maintenance tasks efficiently utilizing the pro-plan system to drive productivity.
- Minimize operational downtime to prevent production losses and maintain continuous plant output.
- Plan, forecast, and order spare parts and specialized tools to prevent delays caused by material unavailability.
- Maintain comprehensive maintenance records and documentation for thorough analysis and future reference.
- Provide technical training and professional development for technical subordinates to elevate team performance.
- Control the usage of materials and tools to guarantee the optimal efficiency of all machinery.
- Vet and recommend contract awards for third-party maintenance services, ensuring strict compliance with technical specifications.
- Possess a B.Sc. or HND in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of cognate experience in a heavy manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.
- Exhibit strong knowledge of maintenance management processes, corrosion prevention techniques, pneumatics, and conveyor systems.
- Possess excellent analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective, long-lasting technical solutions.
- Display a proactive approach to identifying and resolving complex mechanical maintenance issues.
