About the Role
Mapemond Limited is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the structural integrity, safety, and operational efficiency of our facilities. You will oversee all repair and installation activities, manage upkeep staff, and ensure our learning spaces remain conducive for business owners and individuals attending the Mapemond Business Academy. Key Responsibilities- Carry out routine inspections of the facilities to proactively identify and resolve maintenance issues.
- Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings regularly to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee all repair, maintenance, and installation activities.
- Allocate daily workloads, mentor, and supervise upkeep staff including custodians and janitors.
- Monitor equipment inventory levels and place purchase orders when necessary.
- Monitor operational expenses and effectively control the budget for all maintenance activities.
- Manage professional relationships with external contractors and service providers.
- Keep comprehensive maintenance logs and report regularly on daily facility operations.
- Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Estate Management, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in facility or maintenance management.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and supervisory skills.
- Proficiency in budget management and vendor negotiations.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
