About the Role
AMO Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited, a market leader in the Nigerian poultry industry dedicated to providing exceptional quality day-old chicks, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Maintenance Manager. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal reliability, safety, and efficient operation of all machinery, equipment, utilities, and facilities across our farm. You will lead a dedicated technical team to execute preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, minimizing downtime and driving continuous operational excellence in a fast-paced agricultural environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance plans for all farm machinery, production equipment, and utilities.
- Lead, mentor, and direct the daily activities of the maintenance team based on operational priorities.
- Monitor equipment performance to swiftly identify and resolve technical breakdowns, minimizing production downtime.
- Manage maintenance schedules for critical assets including generators, electrical systems, HVAC, water pumps, and hatchery equipment.
- Control maintenance expenditures, prepare budgets, and ensure cost-effective management of spare parts and inventory.
- Supervise external contractors, technicians, and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and compliance across all maintenance operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency, reliability, and root-cause analysis of recurring failures.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and upgrading of new farm facilities and equipment.
- B.Sc. or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of hands-on maintenance management experience within poultry, agriculture, manufacturing, or food processing environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in preventive/corrective maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and facility management.
- Strong proficiency in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and utility systems.
- Exceptional leadership, budget management, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
