About the Role
Genero Engineering Limited (GEL), a leading indigenous Nigerian Marine Engineering and Engineering Consulting firm established in 2008, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our dynamic offshore operations. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the seamless installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing and piping systems aboard our vessel fleet, contributing directly to the success of our high-quality marine and turnkey projects.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair marine plumbing systems, piping, sanitary fixtures, and drainage networks aboard company vessels.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all onboard plumbing infrastructure to prevent operational downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex plumbing issues in high-pressure offshore environments efficiently and safely.
- Ensure all plumbing works comply with international maritime standards, offshore safety regulations, and company guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with marine engineers, vessel crew, and project management teams to support overall vessel operations.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts inventory.
- Proven, hands-on professional plumbing experience working specifically on Diving Support Vessel (DSV) vessels is strictly mandatory.
- Possession of relevant professional certifications in plumbing or pipefitting alongside valid seafarer documentation.
- Strong safety awareness with a demonstrated ability to thrive and work safely in demanding offshore marine environments.
